New Hartford Animal Hospital first opened its doors in 1978 under the direction of Dr. Frank Mondi, a graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mondi was joined by Dr. Mark Chmielewicz in 1985 and Dr. Gregory Jamrosz in 1994, both graduates of New York State Veterinary Medical College at Cornell University. Dr. David Nickel, a graduate of St. George's University, joined the practice in 2004.

We added our Care Center in 1987, to keep up with your changing needs and the demand to provide a total health care program for your pets. This addition allowed us to provide boarding, grooming, premium pet foods and crematory services… "Total pet care for all you pet's needs."
