New
Hartford Animal Hospital is proud to be a 4-year accredited
member of the American Animal Hospital Association and an
accredited member of the New York State Veterinary Medical
Society.
The American Animal Hospital Association is an international
organization of more than 33,000 veterinary care providers who
treat companion animals. Established in 1933, the association is
well known among veterinarians for its high standards for
hospitals and pet health care. Its purpose is to assist
veterinarians in providing quality medical care by meeting AAHA
standards and to promote responsible pet ownership. AAHA
standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for
quality care in veterinary medicine. Only 12 percent of U.S.
animal hospitals are accredited by AAHA. Of that 12 percent,
only 5 percent earn a 4-year accreditation. Since our
accreditation in 1995, we have had our hospital inspected by
trained professionals regularly to make sure we follow the
association's high standards for veterinary hospitals. We are
inspected in 20 different areas, including patient care,
surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, pet health
records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental and nursing
care, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, and continuing
education.
AAHA
reminds pet owners that they can help pets live healthier and
longer lives by taking their pets to the veterinarian for
periodic physical exams, vaccinations, and dental care as well
as providing pets with fresh water, a balanced diet and
exercise. Our accreditation demonstrates our commitment to the
highest standards of veterinary care. We work hard to give you
the best veterinary care available.
