Pet
Boarding
Our boarding facility is completely indoors,
so your pet is comfortable even during inclement weather. Our
Care Center is climate controlled. Air is not recycled, but is
continuously vented from the building. Bedding is provided for
each pet. Pets can board individually or in specially designed
runs for families with multiple pets. Exotic pets will be
boarded in their own cage. We welcome you to tour our pet
boarding facilities anytime.
Food and food dishes are provided or you may
bring your own. Pets are fed Science Diet Maintenance. If your
animal is on a prescribed diet, we ask that you bring it with
you along with feeding instructions. Because exotics have
special diets, we ask that you bring their food.
Playschool is available and includes one on
one, individual attention for those pets needing additional
exercise. Dogs are able to run outdoors in our enclosed play
yard. Cats are kept indoors in our “Catarama” where they can
climb, jump or lounge.
As a four-year accredited AAHA facility, we follow their strict
guidelines. All dogs and cats must be current on Rabies,
Distemper and Bordetella vaccinations. Ferrets must be current
on Rabies and Distemper vaccinations. These vaccines should be
given at least fourteen days prior to boarding to establish
immunity. Written verification from your veterinarian is
required.
Reservations are requested for all boarding
stays. We recommend that when booking travel for yourself, you
book your pet’s boarding reservation at the same time. If your
pet is a patient of NHAH and has a medical condition, we can
board your pet although special arrangements may be needed. If
your pet is not a patient of NHAH and your pet has a medical
condition, we recommend you board your pet at your regular
veterinarian’s facility.
Upon admitting, each pet will be weighed and
checked for fleas. Pets infested with fleas will be treated at
the owner’s expense. For the safety and comfort of your pet,
please notify us of any problems we should be aware of. We can
administer medications to your pet for a nominal fee.
