The
veterinary field is highly competitive. Veterinarians earn
2-4 year undergraduate degrees before completing four years
of professional veterinary school. Veterinarians must be
licensed by New York State. They have a strong background in
math and science and must possess an analytical mind, good
communications skills, managerial and leadership skills. Our
veterinarians work long hours as they see your pets during
daytime appointments, perform surgeries and are on-call
evenings and weekends should you have an emergency.
