Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) and Veterinary Assistants
LVTs assist the veterinarian caring for your pet in the areas of preventive care, nursing care, surgery, laboratory procedures, radiography, anesthesia, client education and much more. They must complete 2-4 years of education leading to an Associate or Bachelor degree in veterinary technology and a rigorous licensing exam. LVTs are licensed by New York State.
Veterinary Assistants aide the veterinarians in caring for your pet. They are more restricted in what type of assistance they can provide to patients. No licensing is required to be a veterinary assistant, and like all of our professionals, they complete an initial intensive training program and continual training throughout their employment here.
Client Service Representatives and Care Center Associates
Our Client Service Representatives act as our Client’s advocates within the hospital. They possess excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills. Essential functions of the Client Service Representatives include setting appointments, managing incoming and outgoing phone calls, taking payments, answering questions, and maintaining patient files. They work together with the entire staff to make sure your experience with us is the best it can be.
Our Care Center associates assist clients with boarding reservations and grooming needs. They admit and care for your pets while they stay with us. They also discharge boarders and grooming appointments, oversee our food and retail inventories, answer our phones and communicate with clients, and work alongside the hospital staff to provide individual and specialized care for each of our patients.
